STUART WILSON

Booking Stuart, not a studio.

Stuart Wilson is Head PGA Professional at Glynneath Golf Club with more than twenty five years of teaching behind him. Born in Kirkcaldy and raised in Glenrothes, he did not pick up a club until he was twelve, then went from a 28 handicap to 3 inside two seasons. At seventeen he chose golf over a career in design.

He coaches complete beginners, competent club golfers and elite amateurs, across fundamentals, swing, short game, long game and course management.

ALL OF THE TECHNOLOGY

Six instruments in one room, and every one of them measures rather than estimates. Choose any of them to see what it records.

The Foresight GC Quad launch monitor on the studio floor

Foresight GC Quad

A camera based launch monitor. Four cameras read the ball and the club at impact, so every number is measured on the shot you just hit rather than predicted from a trace.

Inside Glynneath Golf Club.

The studio sits within the clubhouse at Penygraig, Pontneddfechan. Members and visitors are both welcome, and the club car park is the studio car park. Around twenty minutes from Neath, Aberdare and Merthyr Tydfil, thirty five from Swansea, and close to Port Talbot and the Rhondda.

Before you book.

  • Yes. Clients play their own clubs so the numbers describe the equipment you actually use. If a club looks like the limiting factor, that becomes an equipment evaluation conversation rather than a guess.

  • Yes. Choose the exact make and model of ball you play and the launch monitor data matches what happens on the course, rather than a range ball average.

  • Group lessons are listed at £80 for the group at 60 minutes, for two, three or four players. Confirm the split with Stuart when you book.

  • Every session is archived, so the next visit starts by comparing today against the last set of numbers rather than starting again.

  • Availability is live online, so anything showing free genuinely is free. For a specific time, ring 01639 722627.
